Annual Scholarship Brunch—Nomadic celebration of Black Excellence & HBCU Culture
BE OWT Brunch Polo Edition
Our Mission
The Be Owt Brunch is a Traveling Brunch and Entertainment Service, geared to create a vibe for networking, entertainment, good food, and music. We are focused acutely on The Black Experience, HBCU Culture, and Black Excellence. All proceeds that are generated through this brunch are funneled to A Scholarship Foundation for Independent Students.
All proceeds fund independent students — foster youth, first-gen, and housing-insecure scholars navigating college without traditional family support. In partnership with Paine College Est. 1882, we provide emergency grants, mentorship, and a community that says: you belong here.
This Year Presenting our Women and Man of the Year
The Be Owt Brunch Man/Women of Year recognizes individuals who exemplify leadership, community impact , and dedication to empowering others, particularly within the Black and HBCU communities. Recipients should demonstrate a commitment to positive change through advocacy, mentorship, and philanthropic efforts, while also showcasing resilience and a passion for education and personal development. The award honors those who actively contribute to social justice and equality, inspiring others and making a meaningful difference in there.
Purpose
Not only celebrates the present but invests in the promising future of our community. The "Be Owt Brunch" is more than an event; it's a celebration of resilience, achievement, and the boundless possibilities that arise when we come together for a cause greater than ourselves. Our carefully crafted brunch is not just a feast for the senses; it's a testament to the power of community and connection. Through every toast, every laughter-filled conversation, and every note of the music that fills the air, we aim to foster an environment where camaraderie thrives.
Yet, the essence of the "Be Owt Brunch" goes beyond the festivities. It's a purpose-driven initiative, with all proceeds meticulously channeled towards our Scholarship Foundation. This foundation is a beacon of hope for independent students, providing them with the means to pursue education and aspire to greatness.
